Professional Automotive Repair is an auto repair shop in Marietta and started in business in 1985 as a specialty shop servicing only Volvo. Volvo still predominates in car count, but car count alone does not reflect the breadth or depth of service that we offer to customers with other makes of cars.
Founded by a former technical instructor for the Volvo factory, Professional Repair quickly became the go to repair shop for Volvo other than the dealer. Professional Auto Repair did not only invest in the team, with comprehensive training, but also invested in all the factory tools and state of the art diagnostic system Vida ( VIDA stands for Vehicle Information and Diagnostics for Aftersales). It is purchased through Volvo Cars of North America and is the same exact diagnostic tool and system used by the Volvo dealer.
Mark Kennedy bought Professional Automotive repair in January 2019. Mark has been in the automotive industry for over 30 years. Mark started his career as a diesel mechanic in England, working on heavy-goods vehicles. However, his professional life went down a slightly different path when he began working for two iconic British automotive brands, Jaguar cars and Triumph Motorcycles, the latter of which he worked with for over 20 years and the reason he came to the USA.
Mark and his family moved to California in 2011 from Georgia for a job with Zero Motorcycles, an electric motorcycle company in Scotts Valley. Despite his love for his job, he had a burning aspiration to be a business owner himself. So, he looked to the auto industry for the next chapter in his professional life, and found Scotts Valley Transmission & Auto Care. He bought the business in July of 2014 and has been providing high-quality auto repair and service ever since.
Mark and his family decided to move back to GA in 2018 and was looking for another Quality Auto Repair shop. Mark saw a business and property for sale sign while driving down Lower Roswell road. He contacted Clark and after meeting the team knew he was on to a winner. Their commitment to customer service, technical knowledge and quality was very clear.
Mark prides himself on keeping up to date with the ever-changing automotive industry. This ambitious spirit is reflected in Scotts Valley Transmission & Auto Care, which works with various training and technical support centers, including ATRA, IATN, TRNI, ATSG, and ASE.
